In the heart of Mexico City, amidst its vibrant hues and
tantalizing aromas, a new dawn emerged in May 2020. La
Frutería was born—a haven for those seeking nature's finest
bounties. This was not just another store; it was a living
testament to the art of freshness, where every fruit and
vegetable told a story of quality and care.
La Frutería’s magic wasn’t confined to its physical presence.
Its digital counterpart, an app, became a lifeline connecting
homes with the harvest. Whether under the bright sun or the
shadow of rain, the promise of same-day delivery brought La
Frutería’s freshness straight to the customer's doorsteps,
embodying an unwavering commitment to excellence.

Associate Project Manager
Joining La Frutería in July 2020, I was thrust into the world
of app development, where the foundations were already laid
but the structure was incomplete. As an Associate Project
Manager, I quickly adapted to the ongoing project,
understanding the nuances of the engineering team's work. My
role was akin to a curator in a gallery, ensuring that each
element of the app was in its rightful place and ready for the
grand unveiling.
The challenge was to prioritize features and streamline the
development process, culminating in the launch of an MVP by
January 2021. By critically assessing the project's needs, I
was able to focus on the essential features that would define
the user experience, ensuring that the app was both efficient
and intuitive. This experience sharpened my ability to balance
speed with quality, setting the stage for future successes.

Project Manager
With the MVP launched, I stepped into the role of Project
Manager, taking charge of the app's ongoing development. The
journey from concept to reality was a complex one, requiring
careful planning and execution. I meticulously crafted and
managed the product backlog, turning it into a roadmap that
would guide our future endeavors.
Every app update was a carefully considered decision,
balancing priorities with the resources at hand. My role was
to ensure that our path remained true to the vision we had
set, with each release enhancing the app’s value to our users.
It was during this period that I honed my skills in resource
management, ensuring that our team remained focused and
productive.

Project Manager / UI & UX Designer
As I delved deeper into the app’s evolution, I noticed that
our connection with users needed strengthening. Realizing that
the design was the key to this, I immersed myself in the world
of UI/UX design. With a user-centered approach, I reimagined
the app’s interface, ensuring that it resonated with our
audience's expectations and desires.
This redesign was not merely cosmetic; it was a fundamental
shift in how users interacted with the app. By understanding
their needs and pain points, I was able to create a more
intuitive and engaging experience. The response was
overwhelmingly positive, with users praising the app’s renewed
charm and functionality. This period taught me the importance
of empathy in design and how it can transform a good product
into a great one.

Product Manager
The summer of 2021 marked a pivotal moment in my career as I
transitioned into the role of Product Manager. Drawing on the
wisdom of mentors from
ADPList
and the insights from forums like
ProductCon, I expanded my understanding of product management.
Collaborating closely with engineers, designers, and
stakeholders, I became the conductor of a symphony, where each
team played its part in harmony.
By closely monitoring KPIs and analyzing user behavior, I was
able to fine-tune the app’s features and offerings. This
approach not only enhanced user engagement but also drove
significant growth in revenue. My focus on aligning product
development with business objectives ensured that La
Frutería’s digital presence was as strong as its physical one,
contributing to its overall success in a highly competitive
market.
